Well, this is long overdue. Since my last post, I have split up with my long term partner, been to Morocco, turned 26, travelled to Madrid and moved twice. It has been a lot.

I am now in a flatshare in Camden with 7 others. Everyone is lovely and I am relieved to finally have a base I can stick around in for the foreseeable future.

Work wise, it’s been hectic, but I am continuing to learn so much and take ownership of important pieces of work, which I am grateful for. I transitioned from being a Data Scientist to a Data Engineer which more involves the infrastructure side of things. My current stack is dbt, GCP, SQL and Python. I never thought I’d be capable of actually building an API service that pulls data from one source and stores it in another given my DS background - I always assumed I’d have nice and clean data sets to work with that are ready for analysis (lol). But I am proud of the fact that I have been able to build end to end pipelines.
